A village in Worcestershire, England, are up in arms at plans to build a new 'chicken city' - going so far as to say there'll be farmageddon!
The new plans to build four sheds housing 40,000 chickens each have the townspeople angry, as they already live in an overly chicken dominated town.
The secretary of the lobbying group, Liz Holpin, stated:
We are appalled at the prospect of the noise, odour and traffic safety implications of this operation, which is totally unsuited to the agricultural environment that it is being forced upon. This is an industrial operation on a greenfield site."
What do you think? Is there ever such a thing as too many chickens? Do you believe in farmageddon? Or do you sympathise with the townspeople and the impact this will have on their lives?
